2024 Conference

The Local Organizing Committee is pleased to continue the Association’s mission by hosting the 43rd Annual CRPA conference in Edmonton, Alberta.

Elections 2024

Voting will commence on March 18, 2024 and end on March 31, 2024 for Full and Retired members who have paid their 2024 dues, as well as Honorary members.

CRPA Bulletin

The CRPA-ACRP Bulletin is a key communication tool that provides members with information regarding the Association’s activities and serves as a forum where Registered Radiation Protection Professionals can share insights, advice, and valuable solutions.

Professional Designation & Exams


The CRPA(R) designation is the highest level of competency recognized by the CRPA at the Canadian level. The attainment of the designation by a Registered Radiation Safety Professional (RRSP) is determined by: academic achievement, experience in the radiation field and successful completion of an exam based on identified core competencies, which is administered by the CRPA.

When is the next CRPA(R) exam?

The next CRPA(R) exam will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024 in Edmonton, AB at the CRPA 2024 Conference venue (River Cree Resort and Casino).

You can register for an Exam Preparation course under Professional Development Sessions on the member’s website.

New for 2024!

ADELENE N.T. GAW YOUNG PROFESSIONAL’S SERVICE AWARD

The Board of Directors is honored to announce the introduction of the Adelene N.T. Gaw Young Professional’s Service Award, established in memory of a highly admired and respected CRPA member and past chair of the International Liaison Committee, who sadly passed away in June 2023. Adelene left behind a legacy of dedication, commitment to service, and promoting education in radiation safety in Canada and internationally.

The award will be presented to a CRPA member who has demonstrated exemplary service within the Association. Eligible nominees for the Adelene N.T. Gaw Young Professional’s Award must:

  1. be under the age of 35,
  2. have been a CRPA member for a minimum of two years,
  3. have made demonstrable contributions to a CRPA Committee or Local Organizing Conference Committee, and
  4. not hold a current position on the Board of Directors.
